Chartered Financial Planner (CFP)

When it comes to your money, ensuring you receive advice from the best-qualified adviser should be your minimum requirement

Standards in the financial advice industry have been significantly raised in recent years. The CII’s ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ status recognises organisations that are committed to professionalism, ethical practice, knowledge, and excellence.

A certified financial planner (CFP) refers to the certification owned and awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The CFP designation is awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements. Individuals desiring to become a CFP professional must take extensive exams in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning and retirement.

Shaun Hart is one of the few regulated advisers holding both Chartered and Certified Financial Planner qualifications.

Shaun Hart is a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society (FPFS) which is the very highest designation awarded by the PFS. This achievement has only been obtained by a very small percentage of advisers operating in the UK. Of 30,000 members of the PFS, less than 2,900 hold this advanced level qualification.

Fellowship of the CII is universally regarded as the premier qualification. Achieving Fellowship of the CII gives financial services practitioners genuine differentiation. The CII is one of the main awarding bodies in the financial services industry and is well known around the world, for the quality and breadth of its exams and qualifications.

Fellowship of the CII confirms commitment to further self-improvement and is available only to those who demonstrate their ability. It is a major achievement in the financial industry and demonstrates the acquisition of skills and knowledge at the highest of levels.
